 Welcome!

Tim McLaughlin for Chancellor Supervisor

On November 8, 2011, a majority of Spotsylvania County voters in the Chancellor District elected me to serve as their next supervisor. My family and I thank you with our deepest appreciation for your confidence and support!

The term of this office begins in early January, 2012 and runs for four years. I am looking forward to serving your family's best interests here in Chancellor and working with the new board members to make our county thrive again.

Why I Ran to Win

As a retired United States Marine, a small business owner, and a property owner in Spotsylvania, I believe it is my duty to serve. There are many issues facing the Chancellor District and Spotsylvania County and I would like the opportunity to help solve them.

I am a man of action committed to conservative governing values and believe the two paired together will be the solution to the issues we face.

My goal is to make Chancellor District, and the rest of the county, more than a bedroom community for commuters. I will work to make Spotsylvania a community with employers who will provide high quality and higher paying jobs for the residents. Plus, I will work to provide a community where a person can follow his/her dream of building a business without excessive government interference.  Such a business friendly community will provide individuals and families with an improved quality of life, shorter commutes and lower taxes.

If you share my vision for the Chancellor District and Spotsylvania County, please take the time to read my platform plan and consider supporting the campaign. We need volunteers and donations like any campaign does, but I especially want to hear your ideas and solutions to the things that bother you most.

I know that our country was founded on individual freedom and opportunity, and I intend to help our residents enjoy as much of the American dream as possible ... without the government getting in your way.

If we desire a better community, it is up to us, 'the people', to ensure our goals are realized. So, please join me in bringing common sense conservative government back to the Chancellor District.
